Three Ingredient Cocktails with Sauza Tequila

I'm no mixologist but these three ingredient Lazy Girl Cocktails have been my savior this summer. When I was 19 tequila was definitely my go to drink. I loved the smooth crisp finish of Sauza and lets just say it brought out all of my stellar moves on the dance floor. Fast forward a year ...or two and now that I'm in my late twenties - I can't take back shots of tequila the way I use to. Queue my three ingredient cocktails!
I am seriously all about lazy girl entertaining.  When I was in my early twenties, my favourite drink was a handful of white or pink  freezies emptied in a large pitcher with a few splashes of tequila. Of course with age my pallet is much more sophisticated - but my technique and skill didn't seem to change at all. To be honest, I'm not a fan of slaving away in the kitchen or behind a bar. So I like to take as many short cuts as possible! As long as everyone's having a good time right?

I promise you these are the best Lazy Girl Cocktails you will ever make this summer. They'll leave you with plenty of time to soak up the sun.
For both cocktails, I'm switching back and forth from Sauza Silver & Sauza Gold. Both have been distilled twice for a smooth flavour. That sounded really cheesy didn't it? Well I prefer Sauza because 1. It's affordable and 2. It doesn't burn - you know what I'm talking about right? It's got a crisp finish, a little oaky, and a smidgen of sweetness.
For the Lazy Girl "Mojito" you will need

- pre made lemonade
- fresh mint
- key limes if you're feeling fancy or regular limes if that's all you got

  1. Muddle the limes and mint - I didn't have a muddle so I used the handle of my knife. I'm not kidding when I say "lazy girl.." and I only said "muddle" so I can feel fancy *flips hair*
  2. Add Ice
  3. Add a few splashes of Sauza Tequila
  4. Top with Lemonade
  5. Ta-dah! Enjoy!

That wasn't too hard was it? No brainer and look at you, sippin' on somthing fancy shmancy
Next up is the Lazy Girl Watermelon Slushie. This is the perfect cocktail for when you pick a bad watermelon. When the texture isn't too crisp or it's not's as sweet as you'd prefer.

What you'll need
- chopped up pieces of watermelon
- simple syrup
- mint
  1. Place the watermelon bits in a blender and puree till smooth or what ever consistency you desire.
  2. Add a few splashes of Sauza Tequila
  3. Rip a handful of mint leaves
  4. Add simple syrup to taste - depending on how sweet your watermelon is
  5. Enjoy!

Watermelon is an amazing thirst quencher and this hits all the right spots on a hot day. I wasn't kidding when I told you these were lazy girl cocktails. Simple & Easy. Why do you think tequila was my go to drink when I was younger? Just open and serve. But now that I'm a classy young professional shots!, shots!, shots! doesn't really fly anymore.
These make the perfect go to drinks for summer garden parties. But be careful, they creep up on you really fast and the next thing you know you're faced down on a hammock wondering how you got there and where did the time go? But that's what back yard parties are for right?

Happy Drinking!
