Last week I partnered up with Food Network Canada and the gents over at The Burnt Tongue for a post featuring five comfort food recipes turned into soup.
I’ll be honest and say I was ecstatic to be working with the food network and although I wasn’t extended the invitation to judge an episode of Chopped Canada – I was still excited to be a part of a project highlight a small business like The Burnt Tongue.
My only job was to show up and take pictures of the food – and I had originally allowed myself an hour to shoot but me being me – was about an hour late for my own shoot and was literally racing against the clock for these shots! In in my defense – the girls and I went out to to Rapscallion for their charity dinner towards Children’s International Learning Centre and then headed across the street to 2 Black Sheep for oysters which turned into a pull charcuterie board and long story short – blame Rapscallion – they’re the reason I had some difficulty getting up in the morning!
For a list of the soups and recipes head over to the Food Network Site here or do what I do and just stop by The Burnt Tongue and get those guys to ladle you up a bowl! But come early – even before I got my last shot in and before they were due to open for lunch – there were already people waiting outside and banging to the door to get in!
I managed to sneak my business card on the wall while I was there as well – tweet me @theREALchanry if you see it!
